Overview

Travel north from Arusha through the iconic safari belt of Tanzania, timing your visit with the Great Migration — over two million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle moving in an ancient loop across the Serengeti. You'll game-drive Tarangire's elephant herds, witness predators on the open plains, descend into the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater, and finish with an optional sunrise balloon flight. Nights are spent in a curated mix of permanent tented camps and intimate lodges hand-picked for location, comfort and sustainability credentials.

Day-by-day itinerary

1. 1

   Day 1: Arusha — welcome briefing

   Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, private transfer to your boutique lodge in Arusha. Welcome dinner and full safari briefing with your lead guide.

2. 2

   Day 2: Tarangire National Park

   Morning departure for Tarangire, famed for its towering baobabs and large elephant herds. Picnic lunch in the bush and afternoon game drive before checking into a tented camp on the park boundary.

3. 3

   Day 3: Central Serengeti (Seronera)

   Scenic drive into the Serengeti via the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Afternoon game drive in the Seronera Valley — prime leopard and lion territory.

   Day 4: Northern Serengeti — migration country

   Full day tracking the migration herds across the Mara River area. Optional river-crossing positions with your guide. All meals at camp.

5. 5

   Day 5: Northern Serengeti — sunrise balloon (optional)

   Pre-dawn hot-air balloon flight over the plains followed by a champagne bush breakfast. Afternoon game drive returning by sundown.

   Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater

   Early descent into the crater floor for an intensive game-viewing morning — black rhino, lion prides and flamingo-lined soda lakes. Afternoon at a crater-rim lodge.

7. 7

   Day 7: Cultural visit & departure

   Visit a Maasai boma for a guided cultural exchange before transfer back to Arusha / Kilimanjaro for your onward flight.
